CEO and President

David E. Thompson

Mr. Thompson, founder of RiverRock Systems, has built an extensive career in enterprise software with a focus on telecommunications software solutions since 1995. As an Advanced Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems he led development work on client-server systems and multi-national information systems for major corporate accounts, and was recognized by EDS leadership to work alongside the Advanced Technology team and as a technical advisor to senior EDS leadership.

In 1995, Mr. Thompson formed Thompson Technology, Inc. (TTI) as a consulting and software-development company to build carrier and retail rating and billing systems. The scalability, flexibility, and cycle-time efficiency of that work led CapRock Communications Corp. to form a partnership with TTI in June 1998 to develop end-to-end, web-based OSS solutions. In addition to serving as President and CEO of RiverRock Systems, Mr. Thompson has acted as a lead systems architect for the Radix product line.

Mr. Thompson graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington & Lee University with a dual BA in Computer Science and Spanish. He serves on the President's Associates Host Committee for The University of Texas at Austin, and is a marathon runner and International Ironman Triathlon athlete.
